Andy1279 0
Hi folks I have a v6 4motion bde engine. The clutch has started to slip so looking for a new one. My local parts supplier says it's fitted with a duel mass flywheel. I am planning to turbo it next year so.... Question one, Should I fit a new standard dmf or will I be safer with a single mass one (if available) or is there a updated one available??? Question two, What's the best place to get a clutch from looked at a stage 3 black diamond on eBay for just a tad over £500. Is it worth it? And finally, if I go stage 3 what will the drive be like. My girlfriend has to take the kids to school ect ect in this every day. 90% of what we do is normal driving so it needs to be fairly normal but also able to stand up to 4/500 bhp standing starts at santapod when I feel the need Thanks for the input Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
craggsy 91
Just about all the R32 turbo boys in the uk use Sachs clutches I use a southbend clutch myself.Pedal shouldn't be much heavier than standard. Oh and yes the dual mass will need to go, but you will get chatter on idle with a single mass
Andy1279 0
Thanks I'll look for these then. Was thinking the dual mass would not take the power. Not to worried about the chatter on idle so long as it's not crazy loud. thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
craggsy 91
Nah it's not crazy loud. I live with it

MK4motionVR6 41
Don't mean to be rude or owt... But why don't you just buy the misses a cheap knock about.. For the use she actually has of the car, seems a bit daft using what will be a very powerful motor for school runs etc... Mk4motionVR6
MK4motionVR6 41
I bought my misses a cheap little Peugeot 106 for her nipping around & about locally!! She's happy enough with that.. If & when she needs to go on an actual run somewhere, she'll use the golf... Apart from that, it's my beast Mk4motionVR6
MaidenVR6 26
Clutchmasters fx400 seems to do the job under 400whp setups.
RBPE 198
Just ordered a Single mass kit through my Darkside account for a customers mk3 VRT, they are good and you can always add the SRE plate at a later date for when the boost is increased.
