bit of friendly advice:have a good look at each plug lead for cuts tears[20quid each from dealer].then take off plug leads with plug still attached.get a mate to crank engine-any arcing? should be nice blue spark.if everything ok this points to coil pack,once damp/moisture gets in through cracks unit shagged.got my old one you could try.silicone sealed ,where u at?

If you end up changing leads' date=' make sure you buy quality items. VAG is about £80 a set. Beware some performance leads are thicker and the channels the leads slot into need to have the securing lugs filed out. [/quote']

...and if you dont file them out, the sharp teeth in the slots cut into the soft silicone body of the leads and ruins them..... :@

Yes - bought some 'performance silicone' leads from GSF and the teeth bit right into all of them leaving little 5mm long splits in the leads.

Back they went to GSF with the explanation - and top people - they gave me my money back.

So I try and get standard ones whenever needed...!

had same problem as mighty3.splits in leads/cracks in coilpack casing.changed plugs & leads-still misfiring.silicone sealed coilpack-still misfiring.changed coilpack-SORTED.

it"s a process of elimination,I aint spending money if I don't have to!using splitfire leads and not vw-no problems.
