bennyk 1,238
Should be good enough mate, as long as it works ok and doesn't keep getting jammed up or anything, the little gas bottles don't last long, but for gods sake don't try it gas less though I've never known it to work well,it'll just make a mess of it (as in the welds will probably resemble pigeon shit!) and rust!! daveyboy 897
Are the gas less ones not recommended benny ? I was lookin at them but wasn't too sure Edited November 11, 2014 by daveyboy
VR6CABBS 1,311
Are the gas less ones not recommended benny ? I was lookin at them but wasn't too sureI wouldn't recommend a gas less one pal if you haven't done much welding. With gas your flow of weld flows much better. As Benny said you will have a nightmare with gas less as they tend to stick and weld big dollop like bird shit mounds. Lol. Stick to gas mate. Haha bennyk
daveyboy 897
I think I'll get a gas one then. I've done a fair bit of oxy acetalean and arc welding over the years but not that much mig

bennyk 1,238
Are the gas less ones not recommended benny ? I was lookin at them but wasn't too sure We've got a welder set up for gas less here, it's for emergencies if we run out of gas, it's a 5 or 6 hundred quid welder so not a right budget one and every time someone has to use it it's a big joke and you usually end up with a plastic sea gull hovering around your head!! As for cheap vans you can have this for £550! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
daveyboy 897
Thanks for the offer benny but I don't do FPOS (french piece of shit) lol. It's got to be a dub mate I'm looking for a cheap mk2 caddy

bennyk 1,238
Sounds good, my astra van was great fun with a z20let in it! Wouldn't mind a caddy with a tweaked pd tdi lump reckon that'd go well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk daveyboy
Bealieboy 1,625
That r32 powered latest shape caddy that was running the strip at gti inters would be my ideal van, I'd probably donate one of my testicles to science for it in fact!
