stevenml 1
New to this forum. Not sure where's the best place to ask some of these questions. Looking to potentially use a VR6 or other vw engine in a mid engine application. The chassis is already set up to accept a 01a, 01e or 012 trany longitudinal trany and anything out of a 2000 thru 2005 passat. I am assuming a standalone ECU is best. I can take the guts out of a Passat and use the existing ECU but it sounds like too much trouble. Would like to get 400hp at the crank (if the trany can handle it) Would like suggestions on ECU and engine mods for a streetable, cost effective, low maintenence setup. I know they might not be all possible together Want to make sure i am not creating a money pit. Thanks in advance
Reaperx 181
Can't remember his username but there is someone on here who put a vr turbo in the back of a Clio. Sure someone will be along to verify who it is.

stevenml 1
LOL for sure on Lug and not in a rush. Been trying to get of hold of him all week. I know he's a busy guy. What are required mods on the vr6 to get 400hp? I am a totally new to the vw engine. If reasonable price and dont want to exceed 4xx hp, what would be a best case scenario I know reasonable and price have nothing to do with cars michael5556
michael5556 247
lol kev is a busy man. Best emailing him for the fastest respone man. But tbh its worth it as its so much better than anything else you can get for that price. but make sure you get the plug and play stuff lol otherwise it gets complex. trust me. stevenml 1
regarding the plug and play, I am looking to do a standalone ecu. i am not a tuning specialist. if using a vr6 24v 3.2, will the pnp work out of box? what is the level of effort?
