DanChave 98
I have recently finished converting my Mk3 16v to 2.9 ABV engine with OBD1 AAA loom, ECU, throttle body and MAF. I also have a K&N panel filter, and 2.25 cat back stainless exhaust system.I'm not bothered about top end speed or bhp figures, but usable 0-60 power and torque! What are the best best mods for me?I have a decat and 2.9 TB yet to fit, and I want to get the ecu remapped, but what else can I do without forced induction?
Bealieboy 1,625
Bmc cda and a good set of leads should see some more improvement after fitting your other mods. then cams? Get your mods done before your remap to get best resultsSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited November 27, 2014 by Bealieboy
DanChave 98
I think I want to try and keep the engine bay as OEM looking as possible, so I will smooth the inside of the airbox ans fit a cold air feed down to the bumper vents I'll look for a good set of red leads that fit in the original lead guides
Mk3highline 287
The thin metal head gasket to rais compression a littleClean up the exhaust manifolds a little You can grind out the weld on the inside of the downpipe then re weld on outside and gasket match the portsIf you do the head gasket may as well do stem seals and clean up the inlet ports with some 80grit and polish the exhaust portsWhat's the budget??
