gums 0
hi all,my 92vr6 wouldn't start for me the other day when the engine was hot, i let the car cool down and it started so i started driving home and it died on me and wouldn't start again, so i towed it home and tried to start it the next morning and it started but as soon as the engine got warm it cut out again. there seemed to be a problem with the spark(couldn't get spark off main lead when car was hot) so i changed the coil but it is still the same. if anyone as got any ideas it would be very much appreiciated.thank you! ?! %-
uber-tub 0
sounds like it's being starved of air by constant cold-start fuel/air mixture. Pull the sensor lead off the Idle Stabilisation Valve when the car stalls when hot. If the car will then start, take the ISV off and soak it in WHITE SPIRIT (nothing stronger like turps) and see if any black muck comes out of it. Once it's had a good clean put it back on and see... Otherwise I'm not sure, but it deffinately sounds like too rich fuel or choking to me. mik.
