Clio is a great trackday car with adequate performance and neutral handling, I had a 03 reg 172 cup for a short while which I took to goodwood. I enjoyed the day but became increasingly annoyed by a poxy old Morgan plus8 which I couldn't get near and an e type roadster whose dust I was eating every 3-4 lap, and as for the radical, that was doing 2 laps to my 1. I sold the clip after a trip to the Alps in it, talk about bone shaker, so hard on the suspension i had to sell it! I also did snett in my prodrive Scooby wagon, that was not a bad day either, that cooked its brakes quite quickly though. Haven't been for a long time now and I don't think I could do it to my green beast...... Well, maybe?

The evo is probably the best car I've owned as an all round car , it was 420 bhp 415 lb of torque so a good balance , but my type r Scoob was more fun in track . The evo has such a good yaw control it takes a lot of the driving away from you and controls it . Were as the scoobs with there dccs gearbox means you can have more of a laugh . I shouldn't of sold the evo though tbh .

I try to get to as many trackdays as I can. It's a great laugh doing em.

Last time out was at snetterton in the rain, left angel of a lot of stuff behind, it almost fekt like I had track to myself so kept getting back end out to learn just how much grip the R32 has. Taught me a lot that day, getting 400+hp on to track in the rain is difficult but fun

Was going to buy the wife one of a lad I know but the deal fell through as he had a few engine faults come up on a health check , he was decent enough to tell me as much and didn't just sell me the car , he tracks his r32 too , not turbo though

I need to get my car sorted, this is the reason I bought it over a year ago and it still hasn't really been driven hard by me yet.... I've got KWV1's and eibach roll bars to go on for handling and then cams and a remap and I'm ready to start booking places for track days!!

Hopefully get to meet a few of you at them too, although my local track is Brands Hatch, happy to go wherever, as long as I can do the Ring and Spa at some point lol.
