tonygti 22
hi guys has anyone had a issue where their clutch fork bends or snaps?
VR6Pete 1,455
Common issue mate I'm afraid. You can weld to reinforce but a new fork should outlast the life of the car for your average driver.
Jimjon 28
yeah, i've recently noticed it, has happened to me twice. The 1st time i changed the whole gearbox and clutch then the problem came back. Thats when i discovered the bent fork. VR6Pete
Therusterman 59
Bought a genuine fork from vw a few weeks ago, was only about £

Therusterman 59
Looks a nice bit of kit, but 119 euros?!
Lowlifedubber 9
Id sooner pay that than be pulling the box out more often if im honest.Plus i managed to get a pattern off it to make copies in the future
tonygti 22
thanks guys think ill risk a standard clutch fork as not paying 119 euros £95.00 plus postage as would probably get stung on import charge
Neil20vtc 44
You won't get charged import if you buy it from bar tek as they are based in Germany and as it's in the eu you don't have to pay import duty
Jimjon 28
Just weld a bit to a standard one, thinking of doing it to mine before i fit it, but not got round to look at it yet. Someone on corrado forum has done it.
FishWick 21
Yeah I did that to mine. You just weld a plate over the top of the pressing to make a box section, then you cut out a hole for the shaft clearance. Dead easy and twice as strong as stock. I'll see if I can find a picture of it. VR6Pete
