paceo 22
hi guys, i picked up a rotton (rotton is being kind) golf vr6 local the other day that i am going to break, as you know going by this thread in the link below my engine in my daily vr6 is smoking, the compression tests did not seem bad in my vr6 (i also spoke to vince at stealth and he said they seemed good), its also weeping oil / coolant on the auxillery belt tensioner side where the headgasket is (common problem). please see my thread here on my daily vr6 engine - http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/45474-results-from-my-vr6-dry-wet-compression-tests/ now it was running very poorly, but i got it running fine yesterday, it does not smoke and is not weeping oil and coolant by the headgasket on the auxillery belt side, dry compression tests were about 10-15 psi lower than my daily vr6 engine. now the question is what do i do??? stick this engine in my daily vr6 and chance it wont give me problems or repair my daily vr6 engine as i know she has been reliable to me over the 5+ years.
