VR3.5 0 Posted April 27, 2015 Report Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hi all, new boy here and in the process of fitting the wiring into the 3.5 Cabrio. First problem is that the immobilizer wiring plugs for the 3.5 are totally different to the immobilizer unit for the mk3 VR6. Second problem is that I have everything working off the ignition (lights, windows, dash clocks, fuel pump etc...) but nothing when I go to crank the engine, dash clocks go off when I do and back on once I stop cranking. Starter motor doesn't kick in at all, but there is 12volts at the starter feed start from the Battery. Believe I may have to by-pass the immobilizer, what else am I missing? Cheers in advance. VR3.5 0 Posted April 27, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 27, 2015 Also forgot to mention, relay 409 buzzes for about 3 secs when I turn the ignition all the way before I try the crank the starter. I have used the steering column/ignition barrel, fuse box, ecu etc from the VR and swapped any additional relays from the Cabrio.
