SW London Garage needed for some work on my VR6

Hi,

I'm looking for a good SW London Garage (near Wimbledon/Colliers Wood) to have some work done on my R plate VR6. Work needed to replace:

Rear Discs

Wishbones

Sub Frame

I would normally use a VAG garage, but they no longer supply these parts. Also looking for best place to source these parts?

Whats wrong with your subframe that it needs replacing?  Rear discs and wishbones are fairly easy to do any garage can do them and could supply pattern parts. You could upgrade your bushes instead of changing the wishbones to R32 rear or polybush them.

MOT last year Sept advised that Sub Frame and Wishbones were corroded.  VW  garage could not advise on lifespan, so keen to get them looked at/and replaced if necessary.

 

Not a expert on matters under the car, so here come the stupid questions:

 

Can you replace front wishbones with R32 rear ones, or have I missed the point, and what is polybusing them (told you they were stupid!)

You can replace the wishbone bushes with r32 ones.. The rear ones. Unsure about front but possibly. But the wishbone itself will be different I think..
