Mk3highline 287
How have people gone about fitting intercoolers and keep them hidden? Also besides the eBay specials what other options is there for aluminium radiators?Ideally if I can get a deeper radiator that's not as wide so an intercooler can fit next to it instead of being in front would be perfect I'd rather not go down the custom made route Zak
RBPE 198
Apart from ebay there is the choice of having some Chinese dude fab you one to your spec, they are as cheap as the bay ones but usually you need to order two or three at least for a few hundred quid outlay. Apart from that I usually get Forge to fab up a custom item or people like Allard do them too - you're looking at £600-750 most likely with them though for a custom item. Mk3highline 287
That's what I'm thinking and use the vents in the bumper and vents in the arch liners Id like to keep pipe work to a minimum so will start with one with low boost and work up from there The cost of this is creeping up quicker than expected and waiting couple months before I get the bracket delivered daveyboy
c00k 435
Something to bare in mind, is any intercooler and longer pipe work will decrease boost. Why a lot of people keep supercharger piping short. And no intercooler, as you can drop about 3-4psi, sometimes 5psi from pipe work and intercooler setup. So if you only had a 6psi charger, and -5psi boost lost. It not hard to do the maths. You can also get psi and boost loss from many other factors. So it worth keeping in mind....psi / boost lost to supercharger or turbocharger size and out put.
