Bealieboy 1,625
Has anyone had any success with pattern aftermarket front wings on their golf? The time is getting close for me to replace the wings on the green goddess and I've heard some dreadful things about quality issues. In an ideal world I'd be buying genuine which I will do if they're cheap enough. My main concern for genuine parts will be for the nothelle a bit later in the year. Anyone with any ideas?
HopefulVr6 10
I have researched this many times and I have never heard 1 single positive story about aftermarket wings, everyone said they had to bend something or another to get them to fit.

HopefulVr6 10
I think US panels are made in different factories etc to the Europe ones. Might not make any difference but just be aware.

JakeP 53
Well, Ive fitted 2 patterned wings, right and left and the right one is perfect, the left one has a slight gap between the bonnet but that's all, other than that they went on easy , which surprised me! Bealieboy 1,625
Yes, they've probably had merc sprinter air vents or similar welded in?!
Dave_ciw 507
Replaced mine last 18 months ago with non gen copies. Only because VW only had one side with the oval repeater left in the country and there was a 4 week delay on the others coming from Germany. However when I saw the others on the car I pulled them and decided to wait. £130 a side with the VAT though!
