Vr6ginge 0
Just wondering what size is best thinking going with 16s? Not too clued up about what size will actually fit on though so any help would be very grateful cheers!
daveyboy 897
My personal opinion is 17's are the best wheel size. That what I and fair few others run damian8588
c00k 435
It's all personal preference I think. I second 17's. What I've run on most of my golfs. But a lot of people do run 16's. More important than wheels size for handling, is camber, toe in toe out, rolling centre, and wheel centre lines. Edited June 12, 2015 by c00k daveyboy
Vr6ginge 0
Yeah I've looked at a lot of 17s as most the alloys I like only come in 17s and 5x100 I was just worried about rubbing on arches and that as I currently have 18s that I took of my mk4 and for my liking they're far to big and rub a lot! Even with 35 profile

daveyboy 897
Mines pretty low on 17's and I run staggered widths 7.5j on the front and 8.5j on the back and I don't have any issues with rubbing
Vr6ginge 0
What offset your running on them? Have you got spacers as well sorry for all the questions lol! It's is very helpful!
daveyboy 897
I think there et35 and I had to use 20mm spacers on the front as the back of the spokes fowled my calipers. Apparently that's just because of the wheels I have (dare drrs) I also run a slight stretch on my tyres. I run 195/40/17 on the front and 205/40/17 on the back
