HopefulVr6 10 Posted June 23, 2015 Report Share Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Synta Silver or Platinum is fine if you ask me. 10w40 and 5w40 respectively.I've just put Halfords own 0w40 in mine, as it was on offer at Halfords a while ago - bought about 30L. No problems. Still meets the VW specifications. Is ATF flushing still recommended these days? The jury has always been out from what I have read on the internet. I know the folks at ClubGTI seemed to be recommending it constantly once upon a time but I've not seen it mentioned on there as much.
