jim8280 1
Hi All Im Jim I fell in love with the VR6 sound years ago when my son inlaw bought one i have now got a MK3 Golf with the lovely sound of my ownHowever i have another motive to buying this as im going to be putting the engine and box and maybe full loom in my 1999 new Beetle I have been doing a lot of research through many forums and websites and seems the only real head ache that people have is with the wiring of the engine and getting the ECU to work in another vehicle I would be VERY gratefull if somebody could point me in the right direction as to which post would be useful to me I dont know whether to try and plumb into the Beetle fuse box or just swap the whole loom and dash clocks into the Beetle I will document the swap as much as i can so others can follow and do future swap if wanted Hope some one can help with ideas on this any hints would be very helpful, They'll be a few pints in it after its done and will be bringing to shows Thanks All Jim daveyboy
Bealieboy 1,625
I've seen an ex 4mo six potted engine fitted to a beetle for sale on eBay a few months back and can't help but think the wiring would be more compatible in that set up. Nothing is impossible though I guess! I look forward to following your progress. VR6CABBS and D11PS
