I know the 24v's can go to 13-14psi but much more control than the older Motronic, would probably stick to half a bar of boost or so max - 7psi - on an intercooled set-up. De-comp and gaskets aren't massive amounts of money though so not sure why you would want to risk it. Power wise - 40/50% increase I would say at half a bar, late 200's, maybe early 300's or so, okay for stock clutch. Turbo anything GT30/35 sized is good, someone asked me to put a quality yet budget set-up together the other day for prices and came up with this which seems okay, most favour a GT35R set-up though; Link to post Share on other sites

Swivelonit 119 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Share Posted September 28, 2015 My Golf is a 24 valve MK 4, it is running 7 psi, has a fuel pressure regulator upping the pressure to 4 bar, it is remapped and has no decomp plate, figures on the rolling road are 285 bhp and 280 nm torque at the wheels.
