chippy 34
I need a rear left brake caliper. I've tried TPS, GSF etc and cant seem to source an OE one or a quality aftermarket one. 2nd hand one is viable, but would it still be better than an aftermarket new unit? I've seen a few on ebay, are they cheap for a reason? anyone had any experiences with them? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK3-92-97-VR6-GTI-16V-2-8-2-0-Rear-Left-Caliper-1H0615423-/151709569316?hash=item2352985124:g:XOIAAOSw~OdVd~Wx
VR6Pete 1,455
It looks ok, but not had any experience with these off ebay. The other option is to send some OE item for restoration by companies such as http://www.biggred.co.uk/ Of course these will not VW parts but are quite reputable.

Ive had the other three sand blasted, unfortunately sand got in one of them and completely ruined the piston and sand in the chamber. Ill take the punt on ebay then! fingers crossed VR6Pete
c00k 435
Why not upgrade to mk4 rear calipers, only cheap and a lot of people do it. So it's tried and tested. Would mean a little bit more work, but in the long run you'd be better off.
