The new B7 builds upon the new BMW 7 Series and adopts the typical Alpina design and aerodynamic elements, that emphasize its athletic flair and elegance. At the front B7 maintains BMW’s kidney grille, while at the rear adds ALPINA sports exhaust system that features two elliptical twin tailpipes. The front and rear spoiler have been redesigned compared to the regular BMW 7 Series. Finished in exclusive ALPINA Blue metallic or Green Metallic the B7 rides on elegant 20-inch ALPINA CLASSIC wheels with twenty spokes and concealed air valves shod in 255/40 front and 295/35 rear Michelin performance tires. Optionally are available and the new weight-optimised forged aluminium 21-inch ALPINA wheels. Inside, the B7 Bi-Turbo also features an extensive range of standard equipment, such as a leather-wrapped dashboard, high-end Nappa leather comfort seats, sports steering wheel with blue and green stitching, full-color HUD, full-color digital instrument panel in LED technology and ceramic inserts on selected control elements and soft close doors. Under the hood is upgraded variant of the gasoline direct injection biturbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that delivers an impressive 600 horsepower (447 kW) available between 5750 rpm and 6250 rpm, and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque available from 3000 rpm. Depending on the region the power will be transmitted to either a rear axle or the xDrive all-wheel drive system through a 8-speed Sport Automatic Transmission with Alpina Switch-Tronic. The 2017 B7 sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds or 3.6 seconds respectively, and has a top speed of 311 km/h (193 mph – preliminary figure).
