brans 4
So I replaced my left hand fan because it kept blowing the 50 amp fuse in the fuse box and now only the right fan works? VR6Pete
VR6Pete 1,455
Hiya @brans I have come across stories where the fuses / connections have corroded / melted in the fuse box on the battery. I would be looking beyond the fan / motor and looking at the wiring / integrity of said fuse box, remove fuses and check for any anomalies, you can see in the above picture that the cooling fans connection doesn't look great and that is a common theme I have seen. Does the left hand fan work if you attach a direct 12v feed and assume you mean the fuse box sat on top of the battery? If so and all the fuses etc.. in the fuse box (I thought it was a 40a fuse and not a 50a but could be getting my wires crossed here!) then check the thermo switch on the bottom left of the radiator, should be able to bridge the pins to trigger the fan. Let us know how you get on with the above!
brans 4
Replaced the fuse box and left side fan, no more fuses being blown but now the left fan doesn't wanna kick on. I'm thinking it's the thermo switch?
VR6Pete 1,455
Bridge the plug on the connector to the thermo switch. If fans operate then replace the switch
