Mark 5 R32 engine into mark 3 golf

Recommended Posts

Hi

Sorry if its been asked before ive tried looking everywhere on the forum and internet to get an answer

I have a R32 mark 5 v6 laying around and a full loom, what is actually required to get one of these to work into the mark 3, ive read that it bolts straight onto the original mounts but obviously wiring and that will have to be done.

Just a quick run down on whats needed would be great or any knowledge that people have

Thanks

I've seen plenty of mk4 R32 conversions but not many mk5's possibly because mk4 is more affordable but shouldn't be too different.

Yes it will physically bolt right in the mounts

But will need ECU, down pipes / headers. You also have fly by wire so possibly peddle box modifications etc... Of course if you go stand alone ECU may simply things some what.

Maybe James bell and Cornishvr6 on here maybe able offer some advice ?
