VR6OC News Bot 30
You can own this ultra rare Focus FR200, designed and tested by Ford Motor Company with Ford racing at the helm, while McLaren Vehicle Development developed and built the engine. The mission was to create the ultimate combination of high horsepower and superior handling in a small, sport compact car. But at the end just three FR200 model rolled off the line, at a cost of over $225,000. Thanks to the 2.0-liter Zetec engine outfitted with15-psi intercooled IHI turbo and other go-faster bits (two exhaust valves, 29.8mm diameter, high-flow cast aluminum cylinder head, four valves per cylinder, two intake valves, 33mm diameter) each one delivered 304 hp to its front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. The car has a comprehensive list of unique elements, including a Ford racing wide body treatment. The entire rear half of the car has been reshaped and now features European Focus 4-door tail lamps in place of the hatchback’s high-mounted units. There’s also carbon-fiber hood, front and rear fascia, front fenders, rocker panels, rear quarter panels, massive rear wing, FR200 badging and unique DuPont silver paint. This is truly a special car and the only problem might be the price, since the dealer handling its sale, GR Autogallery, is asking no less than $78,900.
