Johnny 0 Posted September 23, 2016 Report Share Posted September 23, 2016 Hi all, I've got a 1997 Golf VR6. I need to obtain an expansion hose for the power steering, part number 1h2422893a. VW ceased making this part in 2015. Can anybody assist in tracking down a part or suggest an alternative, or even suggest how I could have one made? Thank you in anticipation. Toddy 8 Posted October 3, 2016 Report Share Posted October 3, 2016 Pirtek and Hydroquip could assist in making one up but you'd like have to supply them with the ends of your current set-up. Failing that, EEA engineering make the entire set up in braid with all new ends and fittings. At todays exchange rate it is £191 to your door. Link to post Share on other sites

Postage is free. Note that the high pressure hoses are different. Seems reasonable prices and wouldn't need to take your old hoses, but of course these are not "stock" items and would be made up to order. Hope that helps! Link to post Share on other sites
