Obd1 engine and loom in obd2

Right then guys iv got myself a obd1 vr6 but its red rotten, iv also got a fresh obd2 gti, how much electrics do i have to swap to make the obd1 vr6 run in my obd2 gti, (is the loom plug and play with an unlocked ecu or will i have to remove half my dash too ?)already used the search function and its not turned up an answer for me

Hi, the obd1 is different to obd2. youll have to remove the dash (makes it heaps easy) - remove the brake booster (to pull the loom through the firewall), take photos of the fuse box and then start unplugging. 

So you need the:

1.Fuse box

2.Complete loom 

3.Depending on cluster with mfi - that white loom to. 

4.Ecu as well. 

You will need to get a new brake booster retaing clip (white washing peg looking thing,ebay).
