milos24v 3
Hi to all, I'm new on this forum so I will post my project as soon as I can. I searched almost everywhere but I can't find an answer to my question. I have mk2 golf converted to a vr6 from mk3 a few years ago. The engine is now sold, and i swapped it with 2002 seat alhambra 24v vr6 engine. Mechanicaly it was piece of cake, but from the electrical side I new it's going to be a nightmare. Well, the thing is that i have everything from a donor, but my electrician said that I need a BCM. Without it my wiring is useless. I never heard that mk4s, seats and audies have this module. I can't find any usefull information on the internet. I only know that mk4 have CCM module, but it's not controling the engine. Every information is helpfull, thanks a lot. red_rocket 10
Hi, I think that its related to the immobiliser function. A lock set comprises ECU, CCM (aka BCM/BSI) keys and sometimes the key transponder as well. All have to match and talk to each other. This is common on a lot of cars. If you look on ebay for lock sets you will examples. Cheers Pete
