zipupurmickey 7
You would also need the imob from the key the new ecu came from. I presume you've got the Man gearbox, and pedal box etc ready too? perrone123

milos24v 3
Why you just cannot switch to a manual gearbox, and just remove wiring and ecu for a gearbox? I'm asking it because I have ecu and wiring from automatic and swapped it in mk2 golf with manual tranny.
milos24v 3
I just read that it's possible to get a reflash to your auto ECU to works on manual tranny. perrone123

milos24v 3
The ECU usually doesn't allow simple recoding, in most cases it's nessesary to remap it with manual ECU map. That is just guessing, we'll find out when I take a car to his garage in two weeks... I'll get back with results...

I'll get back with results...So I took the eCU from the donor car and placed it into the project car The bigger connecter cannot fit into the manual ECU. of course this is the original harness the automatic one, is it possible for me to break off that piece so it would fit into the connecter or does this mean I have to change harnesses sorry if I sound very stupid but it looks like it could be done because the other connecter from the donor car looks exact same as the automatic one just has two different adaptors VR6Pete
milos24v 3
I'm not sure, it's there for a reason. You should consult someone who tried this, if you don't wanna burn it. perrone123
