Paul-VR6 0
Hi guys, newbie herewhat induction kit do you guys recommend?looking for a real nice roar from it !lol Also, can anyone recommend a good exhaust system with decat
shail 0
People on here rave about the BMC CDA induction kit. Ive got one and like it, but have nothing to compare it with. Cost about
pete8tch 0
if you want noise u need a k+n i have just changed mine for a carbonio and its much quieter.
Pittuf 0
Miltek exhausts seem to be popular, also supersprint.I have a sebring back box with custom pipe to cat (not decat) which kicks out a lot of sound and produced good RR figures....tends to turn heads when I put my foot down too As said BMC CDA induction kit with correctly fitted cold air feed.Failing that a cone filter located down behind the front bumper to take it away from the hot air produced by the engine is a good bet. purple highline monster 0
just put the Jetex system on my vr and it is a really nice piece of kit, sounds really nice too without being loud, but still sounds purposefull, has the "letterbox" tail pipe too which is schweeeet! Ciaran 4
i have a powerflow rather loud even with the cat. just ordered a 6-2-1 manifold and a ram air pro ram so that to fit when i get home. should sound awsome with any luck. the powerflow burrbles away when changing down gears sounds quality. alby 0
i had a jetex stainless steel system on my old vr6. quality build/fit, nice and quiet too.

mattverth 0
Sebring do a great kit for the vr - the best bit being the "how f'ing big are those tailpipes?" questions! the powdery pops and burbles when coming of the4 throttle at low spedd are awesome and the top end just growls, hard. Col_M 0
I've got a BMC CDA and a Supersprint exhaust, it sounds gorgeous, not really noticeable around town but put your foot down and it really burbles and turns heads
Nerih 0
ive got a sebring and its big but sounds greatits a bit big though.
Guest J_CSW
save money - drill ur airbox and fit a panel filter, it will shield it from the heat and give out a lovely sound, also, scorpion exhaust, the boxer (letterbox) is nice
Paul-VR6 0
Where do you drill the box too? on the top or sides?
Pittuf 0
On the underside, beneath the filter panel.Otherwise air will go in after the filter and you don't want that happening
Pittuf 0
ive got a sebring and its big but sounds greatits a bit big though.Nowt wrong with that, its the same as mine
badboyV6 4
Ive just bought a cold air induction kit that uses a polished/ chromed aluminium pipe that leads into the wing where a K&N filter sits- 60 quid all in - from the US :-) not sure what it will be like in the winter yet though although it will hardly be used in the winter anyway :-) i had a normal K&N before - the noise was great but the torque loss was terrible! binliner 0
bmc or ram air filter & supersprint or milltek exhaust are all good for sound & performance... or better still a charger & 2.5" system with not much in the way of boxes
Paul-VR6 0
iv got a sound file of mine with an fk exhaust sounds EVILI can vouch for the sound file, fecking lovely sound !lol

dusty_mauve 0
Jetex 2.5" system and Ram Air filter, lovely induction noise, no chavvy exhaust noise, good performance gains from better breathing and 2.5" system...
rwilkinson 0
hi, i've been looking at a bmc but dunno whether itll do my head in on the motorway is it very noticeable at about a 100cheers
coullstar 2
I dont think BMC are that loud. The induction kit only really makes a noise when the engine is under load. As for sitting at 100 I cannot rememeber the rpm but I dont think it would be that noticable.
Pittuf 0
If you fit the cold air feed properly that cuts down noise, I can notice a difference when mine used to slip off the end of the filter. The BMC is enclosed in the carbon case so that also cuts out alot of the noise that a free cone filter would make. (This is an educated guess btw....I could be wrong )
Paul-VR6 0
Well i decided to try a K&N, bought it off Big P off this site, and what can i say......It sounds F**king awesome, The VR6 i've just bought is standard but now it sound like its a 300bhp monster, lolCan't wait to get the exhaust next :-)
