First - it would seem to me this cap has some metal to metal wear on it. Does it actually contact the top of the oil pump drive gear? Should I be replacing this? :confused: Also, I have a new febi oil pump bolted to the block. With the oe tube bolted to it, the other end of the tube (without bolts in it) sits about 1/2" proud of the surface it should be bolted to (bottom of block/oil pain flange). Am I wrong thinking it should line up perfectly and not have to be "forced down" to bolt on? :sly: Thanks for any info available guys.
