fuzzys_dub 0
Hello to one and allTomorrow I'm off to buy my first VR6 and wanted to know what the service intervals are and when the timing chains need to be replaced. The seller says at 130,000 miles and the car has done 96,000. Is this correct?
thegoth 5
Woohoo,. Simple questions even I can answer. The service interval is your standard 10K or 1 year.Mines on 150k with the original chain. I believe it's the tensioners you actually have to watch for. Poorly designed on early cars and prone to fail. (fingers crossed) TG
Eat this 2
prone to wear rather than fail which can cause chains to jump 1 or 2 teeth 1 tooth is ok itl just run badly 2 teeth may eat the top end
