DundeeDub 0
yep stealth use them, the factory is jst down the road from me and they are wicked at programming them, that'll be where i'm going soon
trackman 0
Someone once told me not to trust any tuner that gives you flywheel power figures. Unless they actually remove the engine and measure it in a rig, all they do is use a percentage to calculate the figure. Different drive trains sap power in different amounts. Even two cars of the same year and spec can be upto 15 bhp different. 205 clearly sounds better than 172, but in reality it what's at the wheels that matters. That said, I've heard the Dastek Unichip is the one to go for (assuming no turbo). Gonna invest in one myself once I've found my nearest decent tuner. Might just end up going to Stealth.
Joe M 0
That used to be the case but most modern rolling roads use more complex calculations and partly measure the drivetrain losses with the coastdown method to give an accurate, repeatable flywheel figure. If you look at wheel figures only you wouldnt know if the mods had made any difference as theres a lot more variables including air temp, gear oil temp and so on. VR6Pete 1,455
I think that Vince gave an excellent explination of how RR figures are calculated on here at some point in the past.
