VR6Pete 1,455 Posted July 12, 2005 Report Share Posted July 12, 2005 My cat was blowing some time ago, it wasnt actually the cat that was blowing, there is a small "nipple" type thing actually on the cat that had rotted off, I welded a head of the bolt over the hole and it's been fine since... Should be OK for MOT if it passes the emissions, otherwise just keep the old one handy, not much work to swap over... Link to post Share on other sites

clarkie 1 Posted July 13, 2005 Report Share Posted July 13, 2005 or make your own like i did! got a cat from a crashed vr , cut it in half with a angle grinder nocked the internals out and welded it bk 2togeather. that way you stil got the hole for the lamda probe. took me about half an hour and cost nout.
