TheDunnski 0 Posted May 15, 2018 Report Share Posted May 15, 2018 While driving my 99 12v Golf last night, I had the cruise control set and I noticed the RPM just drop, then pick back up, drop again and then the car cut out. Now it will crank, but seems to have no spark. I'm thinking it's something stupid like a sensor. The car has about 220k on it and I've not had any problems before this. Any ideas? p0u1 14 Posted May 16, 2018 Report Share Posted May 16, 2018 I would think a crank sensor or cam sensor is gone, if you can scan the car with vagcom it will tell you, where are you based? If you can't scan and need to throw parts at it I would start with making sure all the grounds are clean and tight then the crank sensor. Link to post Share on other sites
