deadscoob 0
Partners golf suddenly started jerking when accelerating, then progressed rapidly to misfiring below 3k, above 3k was fine. Did a search here, all seemed to point to the coil pack, got a new one (old one was cracked by no.5), swapped over but it's still not 100%. It doesn't exactly misfire, it just kinda feels hesitant, throttle response doesn't feel as good as it used to.I wondered if the plugs would get shot fairly quickly due to the coilpack. If so, I believe I need a special removal tool? Where's the best place for these and do the leads need a special tool or do they simply pull off? Don't want to yank them off and bugger them up!cheers in advance
SankysVR6 1
You need a special tool to pull off the plug leads only, and a normal sparkplug socket 16mm i think to remove the plugs. If car is feeling slugish it might be cheaper to get a vag com check to see if there are any faults coming up.If you do some searching on here you will find things like ISV,Cam sensor, that can cause simillar faults
