Anth1987 0 Posted December 31, 2019 Report Share Posted December 31, 2019 Good morning all, i have just purchased a mk3 GTI which has had a VR6 swap. The car is suffering from hesitation/misfire under load especially second gear. Unfortuantely I cannot read OBD as its either OBD1 or hasnt been wired correctly. I believe its OBD1 however I may be incorrect? I have just replaced spark plugs/gapped, replaced all HT leads and replaced coilpack today. Unfortunately this hasnt resolved my problem. When im back to work I will do a compression test and check injectors. Just wondering is there anything else to look out for? Unplugged maf sensor and still the same. Replaced coolant temp sensor (blue) and waiting on a camshaft position sensor coming to rule that out. Nightmare going in blind with no diagnostics. Cheers for any help Anth.
