TVR6 0
Can't vouch for this but I've heard that removing the pre-mesh beneath the air filter in the airbox, replacing the paper element with a K&N and removing the cone inside the airbox works well. Apparantly sounds better too but alot less noise than an open filter and just 40 notes for the K&N element. Does an yone know for sure if this is a worthwhile/effective mod? If only slightly less gain than a BMC then worth the saving.

[/quote']Done similar one my MK2 Golf GTI 8v, removed cone intake to stock box (noise reducer), replaced paper element for K&N panel filter element, and drilled holes in the air box to the wing side (non-engine side).Gotta say it produces a nice induction note and improved throttle response alittle.
