almost every car that uses hydralic brake fliud uses a vacuum servo.

I'd qualify that as almost every 'modern' car does! I had both a mk2 Escort and a Mini which didn't, and must say the brake pedal feel is usually much nicer without a servo, but sadly they are expected these days so fat unfit people can drive!!

You'll have to forgive my ignorance :)

all my ABS experience is based around the Teeves Electromechanical system, where the brake pedal connects directly into the ABS pump/controller - no servo unit involved

I relised the VR6 does when I opened my bonnet this morning :)

Why is your insurance company asking you if you have a brake servo fitted? Could understand it if you done an engine/brake upgrade or something.

It was part of the modification essay bit I had to fill in, loads and loads of silly yes/no questions !dodge

ALl sorted now though, sent it all off today :)
