jkm25 0
Could i please have your views on which ind. kit. everyone thinks (or knows ) is the best for the vr and how much i should pay for one. Cheers ppl
jamieVR6 0
I've got a ram-air ind kit on mine, it's been on about 6 months now & i'm happy with it but when the engine geys warm (about 5mins after setting off lol) you can tell it's dragging alot of hot air from the engine bay through it. Might try one of them BMC carbon ones but thiey're a bit expensive. I suppose it's all down to personal choice & what sort of engine spec you're going for.
blackburnvr6 0
i had a k&n filter on mine and had the same thing once it was warm the only noticeble differance was a lot of noise!! fitted a bmc few week ago what a differance i would go with bmc more money but least you get the gains
madmonkee 0
i got a viperX its not to bad, vr6 is very vocal now. Its the same as a ram air kit.
gazbrook 0
not sure if this has posted once already!! i have a pipercross induction kit, £70, it sounds good but loses power when the engine is warm, might invest in a bmc carbon fibre kit instead
VRmonster 1
yeah, it looks like the bmc cda is the one to get, nice cool intake temp. im sick of my intake booming into the 20 degree mark on warm days...
vwmadgirl 0
Whats the cost of the BMC induction kit... ?! where can they be brought from...? ive already ordered my ram air induction kit..... but after reading this i think i may send it back :? , what do you recon, or will the ram air do me? i dont drive like a lady...... DundeeDub 0
Go for the BMC CDA one hun, i got one and prob up about 6-10 bhp,It sounds good with-out the cold air feed but you really feel the difference when its connected up to the cold air. I have mine connected up to a vent on the front so the faster i go the more air gets pushed in by my speed. Its a bit of a hassle to get the pipework sorted out but some people on here seem to have done good. I just haven't had the time to do it yet.
madmonkee 0
the viperX is carbon fibre, with a 100mm cold air intake. fully sealed.
gazbrook 0
I have heard the pipercross viper has a habit of falling apart on vr's, I have had two people say this has happened plus they are about £250 , BMC sounds like the best bet!!
six appeal 53
I have a Ram Air on mine, as do a few other peeps on here, Great sound and good value for money! Have tried it with shielding and piping and found bugger all difference made, apart from making it all quieter! Hence why I now have the brand new Stroeve on for sale on the classifieds!
