Shrek 0
yes or no? I'm having my car re-done over the winter (slightly less lairy colour me thinks!!) I am pretty keen on them but also like the look of the good old MK3 golf front. Also, what do i need? Headlights, bonnet, Grille etc (do i need vento wings?) Also the best place to get them from??Lots of questions i know but any help or opinions are appreciated!
Nerih 0
golf m8, vento fe is for vento . if you want that clean look make sure you get crystals with black backs, not cystals ones like mine.
pinto 0
Agree with Nerih.. Vento FE doesnt look quite right on the golf IMO - I'd go for standard FE with morrettes

Nerih 0
thats why the king of style, binliner, doesnt have a jetta fe, but a golfy one. The day you switch over to that, i'll agree with you.The only reason i see Jetta FE being decent is because the shape of lights are nicer than the golfy ones.If thats the point of having the Jetta FE then so be it, the thing i love about the mk3's is, if you keep it subtle and tasteful, you can retain the mothers pram look, and still look better than saxo's... richievr 1
i personally like the vento front on a golf BUT you gotta use the right grille - the later style doesn't look as good as the early one . . . . .
Pittuf 0
Pretty comprehensive in so far that we like the golf front end.The vento fe can look the mutts though, as that piccy proves
stu h 0
the one in justins link is one of my fave mk3's. I think the vento front can look great if its done right.it seems to look alot better on darker colours - I've seen a silver one somewhere and it didn't have the same effect.and you can keep the golf wings. you just need the bonnet, lights and grill iirc. binliner 0
yeah stu its one of my faves as well... it's so subtle but every element works so well it just looks stunningNerih cheers for the compliment but mine doesnt even come close to that... wait until you go to E38 to see how its really done! vr6freak 3
oh. I am with binliner this is one of my fav golfs. Wow its hot. But my only concern is that the vr front head lights are crap @ 100mph + with to sets of bulbs working. What would it be like with only one bulb in the vento head light..... ? Ps I dont condon speeding well not over here
vdubgirl 3
Nope even the car which binliner has linked to dont do it for me I can't stand the vento front end on a golf but what do I know I'm only a girl lol

Icy 0
i prefer vento front on a golf than a golf frontdan's mk3 is one of my favs too and one of many inspirations for my carpic now with late spec grill while i get early one debadged, looks mingin with that grill
Ferrari VR6 0
IMO: the vento FE is a very tricky bit of styling, if done well it looks like the dogz nutz, but a tiny error in judgement and you end up with an expensive nightmare that people will cringe at...I personally wouldn't do it as i love the golf FE, smooth, rounded and agressive without looking chav, but i can understand why you would want to do the vento conversion, good luck if you go for it mate... wagvr6 0
I think the vento front end can look fantastic, it seems to bring the front end lower down,What about the mk3/4 cabrio front end????
chris harrison 0
go with the vento fe. it will make it look like another incarnation of the g60. i have just off loaded my vento, it was the same colour as my golf, and i was guna swap the fe round, but even tho it would of looked great, i think it would of been hard to get rid of the vento with a golf fe !amazed
B6MFD 0
so what is needed to perform the tranformation? headlights, bunnet, grille and wings?
Big P 1
You dont need the wings mate, just the other bits, real easy to do, i like it a lot thats why i have done itPaul
B6MFD 0
Well before i was looking for a vr6 i saw one in a mag with the different fron end but never knew what they were from.......just looked on ebay and there are also some angel eye lights for the vento....mmmm nice

VRmonster 1
well id advise you to go with a golf front end, only because i have a vento FE and theyre popping up everywhere now so im not feeling very unique at the mo, lol. vento front end is my preference.have you thought about a bad boy for your golf, can make the car look really aggressive without being ott. Nerih 0
bad boy only looks good if its properly welded to your bonnet no?
