silverline 0 Posted August 22, 2005 Report Share Posted August 22, 2005 is the ECU on the vr6 located under the dashboard on the drivers side? i want to take it out to get it chipped, is there any type of process you need to do when refitting the ECU coz i ve heard that you have to go thru a starting process or something before you drive the car. is that the case or is it literally "plug in and play"? cheers guys. J5KE F 0 Posted August 22, 2005 Report Share Posted August 22, 2005 open bonnet, remove rubber strip at back of engine bay, remove rhs (nearside) plastic cover by wiper. 2 x 10mm bolts only need to loosten bottom one and the rear should be completely removed.. slide out ecu!
