marvin t martian 0 Posted August 23, 2005 Report Share Posted August 23, 2005 Well i have a slight problem........The intake pipe that runs from the throttle housing to the air mass meter has a poxy little hose, that joins off the rocker cover to the intake pipe.It has split don't know how common this isNow working for vw i thought i would be able to sort this fairly easy........ not a chance ~Comes to i have to order a whole new intake pipe at 102 quid %-6 ......... not good &| My question is have any of you guys and gals expirenced this and how did you solve the problem?I ordered a new pipe but when it came it had a dummy electical sensor.Does anyone know what this and as my old pipe had a live sensor i'm slightly curios as what will happen with regards to the running when i fit the new pipe Volkswagens technical don't seem to know ?! binliner 0 Posted August 23, 2005 Report Share Posted August 23, 2005 are you sure your old one had a live sensor? the plug that went into it might have looked live but the one on the intake pipe should have been just a dummy plastic one... I believe there is an actual sensor there on US cars (but not sure) Link to post Share on other sites
