matth76 1
HiI own a Golf VR6 P-reg. I'm looking at getting either a Magnex or Milltek twin exit full cat back system? Ideally I want to keep my car as subtle as possible. Is Milltek a good quality one and is it quieter than a Magnex? Will a Magnex or Milltek fit my car without any modifications to my rear bumper? Will they hang low or fit tightly underneath my bumper where the standard exhaust was? Do they retain the original hangers? Will one suit my car better than the other or do the circular twin exit tailpipes with Magnex and Milltek look pretty much the same size? Ideally if any one has any pictures of the rear of their golf with either of the makes fitted I'd love to see how it looks. Not sure if you can add pics to this message forum - if you can't my email address is matt76_2@yahoo.comMany thanks for any info (or pics).CheersMatt
antera309 3
I can thoroughly recommend the Milltek Twinjet system. A nice, unobtrusive noise, not too loud.It fits the standard bumper aperture perfectly too.
stockers 1
i have the magnex 3" twin round, nice sound but they never sit straight. mine is better than others but not as straight as anteras milltek !dodge they look pretty similar but they are different, i'll post up a picture tomorrow if no one else has. antera309 3
Mine isn't 100% straight, but you can't tell unless you get up really close :-)
matth76 1
Thanks for your replies guys. The Milltek looks good. Does the Magnex look pretty much the same as the Milltek twin exit? Is the Magnex a "slash cut" design on the twin tail pipes?

I've had a look at the AMD website and the fitting seems to use all the original hangers without any modifications which is good. Was the sound much different / better with the Milltek? badboyV6 4
the sound is definitely nicer with the milltek- its subtle and still got a nice burble when you start up - real nice.. new Magnex i had on my old VR was a big let down- crap sound.... i currently have some obscure german zorst on mine which i like the sound of- if it werent for that id be going for one definitely- they also do sports cats- quite pricey though... Jimbo 0
Just had a milltek twin jet fitted on mine, same as antera309's. Very pleased with it, subtle, but still sounds nice when you floor it!!!
