shail 0
Found info on this on another forum. http://www.greencarcongress.com/2005/08/inside_vws_new_.htmlVW's new super-turbo charged 1.4L engine. Sounds interesting. Anyone on here want to try it
TVR6 0
Not a new idea, some tuning companies have been looking into this. There is a company that tunes Mazdas and Lotus's which has been looking into this. Sounds like a good idea, low end torque and smoothness of an SC couple which the midrange kick of a TC. VW should be looking to introduce it performance models and not just the smaller applications.
Nerih 0
a couple of years back at inters, a guy had a supercharged turbo 16v mk2....dont know what happened to it.
beetle.jim 0
Seen this idea before on cars with big turbos to help reduce turbo lag.
Nerih 0
well, its just an expensive alternative to bi turbo charging really...surely its easier to put on a small turbo (with a quick spool up) to suppliment a larger one (with more lag)
Eat this 2
i thought theyd use a small turbo to spool up quick then as the turbo drops off rapidly the supercharger takes over giving a fantastic flat torque curve ie perfection or as near as possible hehe
