beng 0
can anyone help me, seen some alloys and was wondering if the following would fit 7.5x17" 215/45/17 would they rub???
tommy 0
Well the rr is wrong for starters it should be a 40 profile on a 17inch rim...you can run 215s but they may rub especially if lowered or with passengers in the back, most people run 205s as that?s what the vr's have standard! dubloke 4
i run that size tyre on 8" wide rims on mine and, as tommy says, get some rubbing at the back on uneven surfaces! although i cant go to the smaller width of 205 as the tyres are tight on the rims now and would look silly if smaller! vrPat 0
both are good mate, I run the Toyos up front and they hardly ever rub and I am lowered roughly 60mm
six appeal 53
A lot will depend on the ET of the wheels which is vital for stopping rims/tyres rubbing. I currently run 8"x17" ET 35 with 215/40/17 and had no problems till I lowered it more than 25mm. Now I've gone lower I've had to have the rears rolled/pulled.
