anorak 0
3 door 1220kg, 5 door 1250kg (VW data). Kerb weights.
thegoth 5
This site http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/ has basic specs for 'everything'.My '92 3door handbook, the parkers VR6 info sheet and the above site have the kerb weight as 1155kg.I'm inclined to believe more in eat this' figure as it's fact rather then theory.P.s. did you pay for the use of the weighbridge, or just asked nicely? trackman 0
The differences in figures are probably down to regulations. When I SVA'd a kitcar that I built, we had to add 2x75kg passengers and a full tank of fuel to arrive at the kerb weight. You usually drive across weighbridges, so Eat this' figure probably included him as well.

Kerb weights.[/quote']i thought i read 1150 kg??Apologies - Autocar printed test weights, not VW.Think they include all fluids and half a tank of fuel (like most cars tend to be on the road with). They quote 1240kg for the Corrado VR6 and I weighed mine at 1210 with almost no fuel so that wasn't far out.I'd imagine anywhere between 1150 and 1200kg dry weight for a 3 door Golf is a realistic figure.
