ABS removed - now over-servoed

Recommended Posts

I've removed my ABS and Traction Control gizmos mainly because they come as one, and I don't want TC cutting in on the track. Plus it saves a bit of weight.

Anyway, now the brakes feel over-servoed.

Was wondering if there was a way of adjusting the servo.

Also considering a dual-master cylinder / bias bar setup without the servo.

Anyone got any suggestions or experience of this?

ABS/Non-ABS Mk3s do have different servos' date=' so the obvious thing to try would be a second-hand brake servo from a Mk3 without ABS, from a base-spec CL or whatever.

Didn't consider that option. Nice one Nick ;)

Should have realised, cos when I fit the non-ABS master cylinder (with three outputs instead of the 2 output ABS MS), I had to revolve the servo by about 20 degrees.

I'll let you know how I get on.
