Will an Eaton 45 supercharger from a Mini Cooper S fit a mk3 Golf VR6?

I have found someone who is selling their Eaton 45 supercharger which they were going to fit to their VR6 but never did. The s/c is from a Mino Cooper S. I'm a bit wary of the fact that it may not be compatible with a mk3 golf vr6. Is this the case or will it fit everything fine?? It has a custom made non-return valve, however I'm not sure what this would be used for?

It hasn't been fitted because it's too difficult. Won't give much power either so your better off with a centrifugal charger like a vortech.

eaton style is roots right? so its a tb/manifold charger, it's gonna be a b***ch to install, you'll need ALOT Of CNC'ing, lathing, sawing, welding and so on.

Eaton themselves only rate this charger up to 2500cc, so you'd need an M62 anyway

There are established kits out there, so dont waste time trying to make your own

i think this supercharger is rated to 2000cc to 3000cc, at least it's what on eaton site...

Have a read up on th vortex, all the yanks are going for the M90 Eatons on their VR's for good power....

it must give something as the cooper is 1.6 and can betuned to over 200bhp.if your a do it your self mand then go for it,just alone for the sound,just saw the italian job for the 2nd time saturday.
