patrick green 0
Has anyone bought a new rad in the last 12 months? If so, where did you get it from? GSF quote £80 but ECP have one at £80 and a 'genuine' one for £120. Any thoughts on which one is best? Thanks
kilokilla 0
As long as its new cant see it making much difference so would go for cheaper 1 meself
VRmonster 1
same question for wishbones. which are gonna be better? genuine or FEBI (i think) only a tenner difference, but still maybe the difference in me stayin on the road or not. lol
kilokilla 0
Not heard of febi. unless this is uprated 1 i would go with original or preferably ones with uprated bushes.
theotherphil 0
Just replaced my rad last weekend. I bought the cheap one from ECP. It fitted up real nice and is an exact match for the original. Bit of a pain to fit...I removed the front bumper, grill and headlamps to do the job but it wasn't hard. It would only take 1.5-2 hours max to do if you don't stop for frequent beer breaks!
FishWick 21
VW radiators are supplied by Valeo, so as long as your ECP or GSF one is made by them, it's genuine OE quality. As for Febi versus Genuine, always go genuine if there's not much in it. Don't get the febi wishbones with bushes pre-pressed in, they're pants.Stick some OE front bushes in the front and Vibratechnics rear bushes at the back of the wishbone!K
patrick green 0
Well I've got one front GSF made by Nissens (they've moved on from huts I guess!) - is it essential to remove the bumper? Had thoughts of slipping it between the slam panel & bumper?
