uber-tub 0
Missed every show this year. Well, only realistically intended to get the old gal to E38 and Ragley but still find myself with 29 items left on my to TO DO list! It just goes on and on. I am begining to find it difficult to be enthusiastic about the little details and just want to DRIVE the car. I've had to resort to driving a Corsa in the mean time. Does anyone else get fed up b*ggering about with modified cars from time to time, or is my VW blood not quite as pure as it once was?

antera309 3
Missed every show this year. Well' date=' only realistically intended to get the old gal to E38 and Ragley but still find myself with 29 items left on my to TO DO list! It just goes on and on. I am begining to find it difficult to be enthusiastic about the little details and just want to DRIVE the car. I've had to resort to driving a Corsa in the mean time. Does anyone else get fed up b*ggering about with modified cars from time to time, or is my VW blood not quite as pure as it once was?[/quote']Ditto to all of that. I've had to buy a Corsa as a daily runaround too. Mine's a 1.4 Sport - Whoopie f**king doo!!VR Cab's in the bodyshop and has been for 4 weeks now. Got a whole load of engine bits in the garage to polish up but I've just lost interest in standing there with a power sander for hours on end...I know it will be something beautiful & unique when it's all done, but there ain't a day goes by when I don't kick myself for not just buying an R32 that's got everything I want straight from the factory. With what I've spent, I could have done.Trouble is, new cars are boring. Simple as. When something goes wrong with a new car, the only skills that get put to the test are your negotiating skills, with the main dealer that's trying to wiggle out of covering stuff on the warranty. Been there, done that and know where I'd rather be.Stick with it, man. If you sold your project car, you'd soon start missing it!!!

TVR6 0
I've 'built' so many project cars over the years and realised a little too late that once the money's spent, it's lost !sad But, each to their own, we all like to express ourselves in different ways and one of the most prominent is through our cars. I have decided to keep mine subtle, I find it attracts just as much attention as other tricked motors with just a decent set of rims, coilies and a zorst. I may consider new headlamps and fogs/indicators but nothing more. It's sometimes like wiping a little dust from a table, once you start you have to finish the rest or it looks wrong. I was absolutly shocked when I sat down and calculated what i had spent over the years on my cars and what I was contemplating on spending on this one. Made me think twice, no more super charger !sad But for me that's what the shows are there for, to admire all of your beautiful creations

Ciaran 4
i bought a 6-2-1 manifold when i bought the car in jun still not fitted it and it took me 2 months to fit the mk4 style headlights. also got drilled and grooved disks to fit.have a ram air induction kit but heard the BMC was better so splashed out on one and was so dissapointed that it did make my car faster but was to quiet.now iv been lazy for a while she needs a power steering pump, engine mounting and break pads.then all i need to do is get my cheap 17's rerfurbed and buy tyres for them.and then their is the fuel bill spent
Nerih 0
i think the fuel bill and insurance costs are the only things that annoy me on the vr6, the rest of the time its a fun car to drive, its powerful, looks good, and is very comfortable.
