mike 6
Ok i did debadge my last mk3 golf alround but it was a 1.4 and wanted to hide that fact. How ever why do people de-badge vr6s? i want people to see what mine is but i still crave for the de-badged look grill, back ect, and i know some ppl know the VR engine sound but alot of people dont. craggsy 91
I tok front badge off but left back one on....as its nearly black and i think it looks subtle
MrBen 0
Mine's badged at the moment, but VR's are one of the great Q-cars when debadged as to your average bloke on the street there's little apart from the wheels and exhaust to differentiate them from a Golf GL. Much more 'surprise factor' when you blow another driver away!!
mike 6
[blockquote]there's little apart from the wheels and exhaust to differentiate them from a Golf GL[/blockquote]isnt that a really bad thing? its funny how ppl with low power golf put vr6 badges on to look like a VR and we do the oposite to not look like one !dodge

badboyV6 4
in my eyes for one it looks a lot 'cleaner' and secondly why the need to bragg about the engine? I know whats under the bonnet thats what matters. Its much more fun when you surprise people when you pulling away from them ;-) Although i think mine isnt the most subtle of golfs.... VRmonster 1
well my badges just happen to say golf cabrio. so even people who know their way round a car there is only my wheels that will differentiate it from a 1.8, 2.0.little do they know its a 3.0T he he. well it would be if i could get her going, lol. richievr 1
it's the surprise factor for me!!!!!!!!!!!!at e38 we told a bloke my car was "not bad for a 1.3!!"he believed it until we opened the bonnet. . .his face was classic!
binliner 0
i want people to see what mine isI dont care whether people know what it is it looks smoother debadged
mike 6
[blockquote]it looks smoother debadged[/blockquote]i agree it does, might de-tract tea leaves and jelous people as well as boy racers being glued to my rear bumperjust shame that it wont look much diff than alot of 1,4s ect round here
28v6r 0
Can't answer why.. mine came without badges, but then again its an Estate .. so I kinda like blowing off little Girlies in black Golf GTIs that flash to get past.... Very satisfying

The1andonlygav 0
I've de-badged everything i've ever owned. It looks much cleaner, sweeter. And i want fools to think its a 16v cause then they don't want to nick it. And when they try to race me, (which isn't very often to be honest) they get to see the back of my car in all its glory!
