mike 6 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Share Posted October 7, 2005 i have a pioneer deh p7700mp. it keeps losing all the settings and radio stations every time a turn off the ignition and leave the car for any lengh of time. it save the stations ok and im deffently doing it right as iv had simlar head unit before. could it be earthing? shail 0 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Share Posted October 7, 2005 have you just fitted it? I had the same problem with my sony unit. Aparrently VW's are wired a bit diffferently to other cars. You should have 2 wires for the power - a yellow one and a red one. Instead of connecting the yellow to yellow and red to red, try connecting the yellow to red and red to yellow.
